EVO 2014 – Everything you should know!

The competitive gaming scene was already busy with The International 4 Dota 2 Championship, but it seems that from here on things will only get crazier with more sleepless nights and heart aching moments as EVO 2014 is upon us. So What is EVO?   For those of you who do not know about Evolution Championship Series (Evo) is the largest fighting game competition in the world and has produced some of the most legendary moments in the history of competitive gaming. In fact the #1 ranked most memorable competitive game moment (according to Kotaku) took place in EVO 2004 and is known as the 'EVO Moment 37' where the one and only Daigo Umehara performed a mind blowing full parry when he had almost no health to win the match, if there is anyone among you who weren't fortunate enough to experience this amazing moment then you can check it out here.   (Headphone users beware the crowd goes very loud at one point!) What to expect?  Evolution Championship Series (Evo) will begin on July 11-13 in order to determine the greatest fighting game champions from around the world. The sold-out tournament, which marks the 18th anniversary of Evo, is also celebrating its largest attendance to date and will surely be a must see for any gamer out there. Who can we expect to see?   EVO has always been an event where one can expect to see players from all over world, from the unorthodox Americans to the technical Japanese you will see them all go head to head in order to claim the top spot.
